Composed of two contrasting elements, the Ihop vase brings together a structured form shaped by a mold and an organic, free-flowing upper section born from the breath of glass. As molten glass is blown into the mold, the lower portion takes on its intended contour, while the top emerges unpredictably through the glassblower’s intuition, making each piece one-of-a-kind. The tension between the fixed and the formless accentuates their differences while softening into each other, creating a fluid exchange where structure yields to spontaneity.

이홉 화병(Ihop Glass Vase)은 몰딩으로 다듬어진 정해진 형태와 그 안으로 유리를 불어넣으며 자연스레 생겨나는 비정형의 형태가 나란히 이어지는 화병입니다. 정형과 비정형의 경계에서 상단의 자유로운 곡선은 글라스 블로워의 감각에 따라 매번 다른 모양을 취하게 되며, 이로 인해 모든 피스는 하나뿐인 고유함을 지닙니다. 한 유리 덩어리에서 시작된 두 부분은 자연스러운 흐름을 따라 서로를 명확히 대조시키며 깊이 있게 보완하고 포용합니다.

Ihop means “together” in Swedish.
